Indecent

“A magnum opus…It’s hard to find the words to properly praise Indecent… except to declare it a brilliantly conceived, superbly written, imaginatively staged, exquisitely performed, bi-lingual magnum opus.”

– Huffington Post

Sing Street

“Sing Street packs such a visceral punch in making its case that by the end it’s got you believing it, too… But what comes through with gale force is what those songs mean to the kids who are playing and singing them..

– The Boston Globe

Twelfth Night

Gloom and misery, begone! Love and its shenanigans are in bloom.

Winter's Tale

The magnitude of forgiveness documented in director Rebecca Taichman’s taut, visually arresting and tenderly wrought new production for Shakespeare Theatre Company is itself a kind of magic.

REBECCA

TAICHMAN

REBECCA TAICHMAN is one of only six women to win the TONY Award for Best Direction of a Play, which she took home in 2017 for “INDECENT,” by Paula Vogel. With a diverse repertoire spanning Shakespeare, contemporary plays, opera, and musicals, Taichman is a visionary director who enjoys conceiving of and co-creating new work. She is currently working on a number of large-scale music-based theater pieces.

“As a director, Taichman refuses to be categorized. Her career to date features an eclectic range of works – from new plays to outdoor operas.”

– Playbill.com

“Taichman has a proven knack for framing difficult plays in tantalizing ways. Her saucy, la dolce vita The Taming of the Shrew remains one of the smartest nights of Shakespeare the company has offered.”
